When going out at night, you’ll want to create a different look for your eye colors. Everyone is always so worried about what colors look good on them. All in all it's not necessarily the color but more of how you blend it in with other colors that you're using. Of course there are some colors that are out there that just don't look good on anyone. Consider the colors a person is wearing and their skin tone. That will best determine what colors will go well on a person. For example if a person has a more yellowish skin tone, stay away from oranges and yellows. They will most likely make the person look sickely. Good blending is key to making your eyeshadow and colors look like they belong together. Another thing that I have heard much concern with is that people are buying eyeshadows and then when they put them on they turn a different color. This can be caused by three things: bad cosmetics (poor quality), skin tone, or not using an eye primer. Poor quality cosmetics don't hold color well and will come up as a different shade when applied. Skin tone can also cause colors to come up a different color. For instance if you have lighter skin tone and try a black, usually a black with sparkles, I have found it comes up blue. Using a primer can also eliminate this problem. A good eye primer is used to ensure the true color of the shadow appears but also smoothes the "canvas" where you are applying the color.
